Aquarius Plateau, Utah

The Aquarius Plateau is the highest eleveation plateau in North America; its ecotype lies in stark contrast to the surrounding desert areas of the Colorado Plateau. Summer is only a couple of months long, and the plateau contains several high altitude lakes, which makes it a refreshing escape during the hottest months at lower altitudes.
