Spring of 2017 was what I would call worthy of “epic” status in the Mojave Desert. Wildflowers bloomed just about everywhere you looked after a winter of heavy rain. These apricot globe mallow gave a nice accent to this lovely pictograph panel in southern Nevada’s Gold Butte National Monument.
