A few Basin and Range mountain ranges extend into western Utah, which is perhaps more well known for its red rock canyons than high mountain ranges. The Tushar Mountains are the third highest mountain range in Utah, and at least when compared to their more well known cousins like the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, are not not visited much at all.
